How could I not want one of these? I’ve spent a lifetime collecting (both artifacts and facts) while I embrace the future as it rushes forward. This is a REMIX…and while it’s practical value is pretty limited, it’s a beautiful inspiration!
Unleashed recently posted a Dewey (the Library Cat) look alike contest. Inspired me to show you all my “Dewey” — really John Melville Dewey, a 2 year old Maine Coone. His name, obviously, is inspired by both the great librarian AND the inspiring educator.
So the “archivist” in me says preserve those books — silverfish beware. Think of the damage a glass of milk could do to a valuable resource. But alas…our most valuable resource is the student. You know the one. He or she just wants to sit in the library over lunch hour and “chill out,” away from the roar of the cafeteria. I’ve been hypocritical in enforcing the no food/drink in the library policy. Afterall, I love my coffee house nights. With the new schedule, I’ll be looking to do something different next year.
